It is with great sadness that the family of Laurie Nowak announce her passing. She will be immensely missed and happily remembered...

Henry, Sierra, Jake and a multitude of close family find solace in knowing that those of you whose lives crossed paths with her reflect smiles, love and a ton of memories.

She was a fearless spirit that believed she could do anything. She carried herself with a commanding sense of pride and confidence that although sometimes could be intimidating, eventually always was respected. Yearning for knowledge, Laurie dove into challenges wanting to master and fix things. She was an amazing problem solver.

Professionally, Laurie had many achievements. She was a registered nurse in multiple states, Regional Nurse manager, contract travel Nurse, Nursing and CNA instructor. Consultant, business owner, high school teacher, Black Jack dealer, and a really good bartender...

Before and during college, Laurie was a product and fashion model for national and local publications.

However, she often stated her favorite things about this life were her 37 year love story with husband/ soulmate Henry, her daughter Sierra, son Jake (and most recently grand daughter Romie Mae).

Laurie felt that when people pass on, a fun memorable gathering is more desirable than a somber event.
