Patrick D. Callisto, age 94, originally from Solvay NY, passed peacefully on November 9th, 2024 at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL surrounded by his loving wife.

Patrick was born on May 23rd, 1930 in Solvay to the late Daniel and Madeline Callisto. He was the youngest of four children.

Patrick was a 1948 graduate of Solvay High School. He was a United States Army veteran during the Korean War, stationed at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey.

Patrick was a proud member of SMART Local 58 Sheet Metal|Air|Rail|Transportation workers union. He worked for House Sheet Metal in Syracuse, NY for 32 years, before retiring in July 1992.

He was a member of the Solvay-Geddes Veterans Association, and a communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church in Solvay, NY.

Patrick had a great love of boating on the beautiful St. Lawrence River at the Clayton Yacht Club where he was the dock master for many years. Patrick also loved traveling the US in his motorhome and riding his motorcycle.

Patrick was pre-deceased by his brothers Anthony and Jack and sister Frances. He was also pre-deceased by his first wife, Fannie (Fay) Venditti, and daughter Janet Balko.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Diane DeGrosielliers Callisto, daughter Debbie (Chris) Connors, stepdaughter Jeannine (Arnold) Tillman, two stepsons, George (Kelley) Clifford and William (Gina) Clifford; ten grandchildren, Lindsay Dinant, Michael Kallfelz, Marie O’Connor, Kenny Connors, Bryan Volles, Danielle Volles, Joshua Clifford, Kyle Clifford, Jordan Clifford,

Austin Clifford and eighteen great-grandchildren, as well as his sister-in-law Mary Callisto. Services will be held in the Spring in NY. Donations to St. Mary Ann Cope Parish food pantry are welcome.
